6:1 people to room or room to people ratio?

Article from Gulfy News today

When a resident of Emirates Hills reads such an article in the Gulfy News it really hits them hard. The ratio of 6:1 for person per room is considered excellent, and the company is being commended by a staff reporter for this!

We have the same ratio, 6:1...that's 6 rooms per person. I wonder what the subcontinental laborers who built the 500 houses here live like?

Hopefully the same construction company uses their own thermometers to measure the temparature on construction sites next summer. So they can set an example for the metereology department, who we all know allows it never to get hotter than 49.9 celsius (50 or above laborers have to stop working)

dubais great barrier reef 2085!

2085. Hope remains for Dubai's tourist destination endeavour, even after the global warming ice cap melting of the 2070's which wiped out Palm Dubai, Jebel Ali, Jumeirah and the World Islands. The finishing touches on Scuba Palms & World Reef are almost complete. Chairman of Nakhemaar (formerly known as Nakheel and Emaar) commented to Gulfy News staff reporter yesterday "We have world class facilities and year round warm weather here and expect a large amount of diving tourists worldwide to flock to Dubai for the Scuba Palms & World". Attractions include the shiny funky former Donald Trump Hotel, overpriced cheaply mass produced 13,000 sqft homes owned by celibrities from the beginning of the century, and plent of fully submersed classic luxury vehicles still intact!!

2 lanes or 1

in the bottleneck entrance street of emirates hills u can never truly be sure if it's one lane or two. as a friend pointed out to me it all depends on your mood...when u are in the need to piss off everyone behind you make it one lane and drive smack down the middle! if u feel the need to overtake that slowpoke in front of u just indicate left and make it two lanes, though careful u may feel the need to crash in to them as u wanted a closer view of the 500,000 dh car next to you...oh the trials and trivulations of the emirates hills! don't hold your breath more adventure and thrilling tales follow at emirateshills.blogspot.com home to perspective from the first golf club community homes in the persian gulf!
